The North Star Roller Girls is composed of five teams - four home, intraleague teams and one traveling, interleague league team.

The four intraleague home teams include Banger Sisters, Delta Delta Di, Kilmore Girls & Violent Femmes. These four teams compete against one another locally during the fall/winter, aka "League Bouts," in pursuit of the coveted first place finish and a summer's worth of bragging rights.

Our traveling interleague team, also referred to as our all-star team, demure dealers of derby defeat and dislocations, the North Star Supernovas. This team is comprised of members from all NSRG local teams who qualify and continue to train and compete year-round. North Star is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Member leagues create "travel" teams who play against each other in regional matches. WFTDA also publishes rankings and organizes annual championship tournaments for its members in good standing. The Supernovas represent NSRG in the national rankings and play bouts both at home and away during the summer, also known as the intraleague or "off" season.
